Mountain High Horses, LLC

  • I grew up in Minnesota where my family taught me to work hard and be kind. I've always loved horses and learned early on how important it is to take care of them. In my house, we make sure the animals are fed before we eat, and that's something I still do today, even after 50 years.

I've been in a lot of horse competitions, doing things like western pleasure, showmanship, and barrel racing. In 2006, I started doing Cowboy Mounted Shooting, which I really enjoy. It's taken me to almost every state for competitions.

In 2013, I moved to Wyoming and started working in the Marketing Department of a telecommunications company. But horses are still my biggest passion. Whenever I get the chance, I go riding. I believe that spending time with horses is great for the soul.

  • I was born and raised in western Wyoming and have always lived a cowboy life. I used to ride my horse to catch the bus and let him run back home. Growing up, I went hunting with my dad in the mountains for elk, moose, deer, and bear, and learned to pack horses and mules for trips. I got more skills from high school rodeo and FFA, especially loving rodeo riding. After high school, I joined the Marines for four years and served overseas. When I came back, I went back to Wyoming, worked as a deputy fire chief, and then with the Forest Service using my horse skills in the wilderness. I also guided hunting and fishing trips, learning to work with people outdoors. I've always lived off the land and respect nature a lot.

  • I've spent over 50 years in the horse industry, training and competing in almost every discipline you can imagine. My journey has been marked by numerous accolades, including state, regional, and world championship titles. As a professional horse trainer, my focus is on creating top-notch horses for roping, cattle work, mounted shooting, and general use.

In addition to my work with horses, I'm a freelance writer for equine publications and have published two books filled with humorous cowboy stories.

My success reflects my dedication not only to my own competitions but also to teaching other horsemen how to get the best out of their horses. I believe in the power of sharing knowledge and experience to enhance the bond between horses and their riders.

  • Hi there! My name is Haley and I am from Pennsylvania. This is going to be my second season with The Diamond P and I'm looking forward to getting to know all of our wonderful guests! I have a bachelors degree in Criminal Justice and would like to do something down the road in that field. My hobbies include going to church, hunting, riding my horse Molly, baking homemade bread, hiking, and just being outdoors.

  • Hi! I'm Cassie from Bandera, Texas, the Cowboy Capital. I've loved horses even though my family wasn't into them. In 5th grade, I got my first horse after a lot of asking. Thanks to my town's love for horses, I learned a lot from everyone. I started helping out and learning more in 6th grade. I've been part of a drill team, was the queen of our riding club, and have worked with horses for a long time. When I got the chance to move to Montana and work with horses every day, I was so excited. It's a dream come true for me.

  • Hi, my name is Madison. I have a lifelong connection with horses. Growing up surrounded by harness racing and trail riding, I've developed a deep passion for horses. My hobbies include riding my horse and hiking with my dog. I'm honored to have achieved the Youth of the Year award from the Indiana Standardbred Association, a recognition of my unwavering commitment and diligence within the racehorse industry. Additionally, in 2018, I earned the esteemed title of Leading Driver from the Kentucky Harness Horsemen's Association, reflecting my exceptional performance in harness racing. Horses are not just a part of my past; they are an integral part of my present and future. I'm excited to connect with you, share experiences, and learn a little about you along the way.

  • I've been deeply involved with the 4H horse club in my county for years, taking on various leadership roles and showing numerous horses. Horses truly run in my veins.

Growing up in Mountainburg, AR, in a household where both of my parents were professional horse trainers—and one also a saddle maker—I've been immersed in the world of horses and riders from a young age. My experiences aren't limited to winning and showing in multiple events; I've also developed a knack for public speaking.

I'm a people person at heart, with strong communication skills. Tony and I got married in 2017, and we have a grown daughter, Sarah. My family means the world to me.

One of the highlights of working at The Diamond P Ranch is the opportunity to meet and interact with so many wonderful people. I'm genuinely excited to see all of you when you come out to ride with us at the ranch.

  • Hi, I’m Albert and I’ve been riding horses my entire life. I’m originally from Cody, Wyoming where I worked on ranches and also as a back country guide. I’ve had many wild adventures camping underneath Yellowstone’s stars and have even had some close encounters with grizzlies. Ask me about it on our trail ride!

  • Hi, I’m Victoria, a recent graduate from CSU! I grew up in a family dedicated to horses and the horse-world lifestyle, taking dressage lessons as a child, but I grew to love the western side of riding as I got older. I have competed in western precision drill and dabbled in vaulting, liberty, and jumping on the side, along with plenty of barrels, pole-bending, and other local gymkhana events.

In my (non-horse-related) free time, I consider myself a plant mom, and love caring for my small garden and talking about plants. I like spending time with my dog around my family’s property, or my cat while I crochet by the fire during the winter. I am an avid reader and adventurer and am planning to spend the next couple of years exploring the US before I go abroad for volunteer work and graduate school.

I am so excited to meet all of our guests this summer, and get to know each one of you!

  • Hi, I’m Reagan! I just graduated from high school and now I’m taking a gap year prior to starting college in 2025. Growing up in Colorado, I have always loved nature and animals (especially horses!) and I’m very excited for the opportunity to work on the ranch this year.

When I’m not at the barn or showing horses, I can be found volunteering at a local animal shelter or at home reading and hanging out with my pet rats and dog. I’m looking forward to meeting everyone and sharing my love for horses as a guide this summer.

  • This is my first season at the Diamond P Ranch. I grew up in Massachusetts on my family's farm, surrounded by goats, chickens, ducks, and a large vegetable garden. I learned to ride from a friend who owns a horse farm in the next town over from where I grew up. I then came out west to learn the many facets of ranch life and live the dream of being a cowboy. In my free time, I enjoy bronc riding, playing the jaw harp, and a bit of leather working.
